id=\"paragraph_4868780_inner\" class=\"paragraph_text_inner\"><p>Die Kirche St. Wilhadi ist nicht nur die &#8222;Bischofskirche&#8220;, sie ist die \u00e4lteste Kirche in Stade. Im 11. Jahrhundert wurde sie zum ersten Mal erw\u00e4hnt. Die jetzige gotische Hallenkirche stammt aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Ihre Au\u00dfenmauern sind durch die Landeskirche und den Kirchenkreis restauriert worden. Die Kirche strahlt zusammen mit ihrem wuchtigen Turm in neuer Stabilit\u00e4t.<\/p><p>Tritt man in die Kirche, so beeindrucken die massiven S\u00e4ulen, die die hohe Rippendecke tragen: An ihnen f\u00fchrt der Weg vorbei auf den Altar zu. Scheint die Sonne durch die bunten Glasfenster, so erstrahlt der Innenraum mit seiner barocken Ausstattung. Das Fenster hinter dem Altar, das im Rahmen der Au\u00dfenrestaurierung wieder ge\u00f6ffnet wurde, l\u00e4sst weiteres Licht hinein. Jahrhunderts und wurde anstelle eines Vorg\u00e4ngerbaus errichtet, der wohl bis in das 11. Jahrhundert zur\u00fcck reicht. Einzig der Westturm geht sogar in das 13. Jahrhundert zur\u00fcck. Im Stadtbrand von 1659 wurde auch die Kirche im Inneren zerst\u00f6rt und danach neu ausgestattet.<br \/><br \/>Der Turm erhielt einen hohen Turmhelm, der 1724 durch Blitzschlag zerst\u00f6rt und durch das flache Zeltdach ersetzt wurde. Von der Innenausstattung bemerkenswert sind Altar und Kanzel von 1660, Kronleuchter des 16. und 17. Jahrhunderts und eine Reihe von Epitaphen.<br \/><br \/>Das Kircheninnere wurde 1958-60 und 1991 weitgehend restauriert. Sie wurde 1731-36 vom Orgelbaumeister Erasmus Bielfeldt erbaut. Bielfeldt, der vermutlich in Stade geboren ist, wurde beim Schnitgersch\u00fcler Matthias Dropa in L\u00fcneburg ausgebildet.<\/p><p>Bielfeldt wirkte haupts\u00e4chlich in der Orgellandschaft zwischen Elbe und Weser.
