In addition to cultural, culinary, musical and traditional events, sporting events naturally also play an essential role. At the end of the sailing season, just before the boats are craned out of the water, the Stade sailing clubs bid farewell for the winter break with an enjoyable lantern cruise on the Schwinge and in the city harbour. The Stade Summer of Sports invites young and old to take part in a variety of sporting activities.
