Easter egg hunt in the historic town centre
The week before Easter, shopping in the city will be an extra special experience. From Monday to Thursday, a special Easter event takes place in the streets of the old town centre. This way you can treat yourself to an Easter present even before Easter Sunday.
Around 30 shops from the city centre of Stade are taking part. The city management of STADE Marketing und Tourismus GmbH has provided each of them with five wooden eggs, which will be hidden in the shops and labelled with special surprises.
Successful hunters can collect or redeem their prize directly at the till. Whether it’s a discount on a favourite item or a take-home surprise: with a wide variety of prizes, there’s something for everyone.
Find the one and only golden egg and you will receive a Stade City Voucher worth €50.00 from the Tourist Information Centre. All participating shops have an Easter bunny at the entrance.
Tip: On Friday, 9 September, an autumn shopping & bargaining event is planned in Stade’s historic town centre. In the pedestrian zone and in the shops, participating businesses will be offering selected goods at bargain prices.
Kids' project: design Easter bags and go on a treasure hunt
The crane at the Stade fish market will open its doors on Maundy Thursday, 28 March, from 10 am to 4 pm, specially for young Stade visitors of kindergarten and primary school age. They can design Easter bags with stamps and use them for an Easter hunt on Thursday, 28 March, during the opening hours of the participating shops.
A real treasure map will help. All the little treasure hunters have to do when they discover the Easter bunny on a shop’s doorstep is go in and ask nicely at the till for their surprise.
