Travelling by S-Bahn from Hamburg, by regional train from Cuxhaven or with the historic Moorexpress from Bremen to Stade…

The S-Bahn line (S5) of the Hamburg Transport Association (HVV) runs at least every hour from Hamburg to Stade. Between Monday and Friday during rush hour, the service is extended to every 20 minutes. With the S5 you can reach Stade from the Elbgaustraße stop via HH-Hauptbahnhof, Harburg and Buxtehude without changing trains. The trip by S-Bahn from Hamburg main station to Stade takes just under 60 minutes.

With the yellow-white-blue ‘start’-trains (RE5), which run between Cuxhaven and Hamburg, you can get from Hamburg main station to Stade in 50 minutes.

In the summer months, the historic “Moorexpress” runs from Bremen through the Teufelsmoor to Stade on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
