Nationwide campaign weekend: ‘Heimatshoppen’ (Hometown Shopping)
On the second weekend in September, Stade is all about shopping. Under the title ‘Heimatshoppen’ (Hometown Shopping), a variety of fun retail events and a shopping competition will take place in Stade’s historic town centre.
The nationwide campaign weekend was launched to strengthen gastronomy and retail and to revitalise city centres. On this occasion, the city management and the Stade Aktuell association came up with the joint idea of the ‘Stade sucht den Heimatshopper’ (Stade Seeks its Hometown Shopper) shopping competition in 2018.
We will round up: €55 City Voucher for €50
During the ‘Heimatshoppen’ (Hometown Shopping) campaign weekend, the tourist information centre at the harbour will be rounding up. The STADE Marketing und Tourismus GmbH will give an extra €5 for every City Voucher purchased for €50.

On this campaign weekend, customers buying a € 50 City Voucher at the Tourist Information Centre will receive a voucher worth € 55 instead.

Shopping competition: Stade seeks its Hometown Shopper
This year, the shopping competition ‘Stade sucht den Heimatshopper’ (Stade seeks its Hometown Shopper) will be launched once again. Who can find the best outfit for the given theme in the participating shops in the city centre of Stade? The participants will receive €500 in shopping money, a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a great new outfit and a chance to win the title of Stade’s Heimatshopper with great prizes.
On Saturday, 6 September, three participants who have previously been drawn by lot will conquer the city centre of Stade for four hours from 10 am on with €500 in cash and a shopping companion. They will be on the hunt for the perfect outfit for their visit to Stade. They can buy from all shops participating in the ‘Heimatshoppen’ campaign. Afterwards, the three participants will each get their hair and make-up done to match their outfit, sponsored by “Hair by Inna”. When the time is up, nothing more may be added to or changed in the outfit or styling, because that’s when it’s time to hit the catwalk. Here, the Hometown Shoppers present their new creations to a jury. The winner will receive a fantastic prize from Stade’s retailers.

Unfortunately, the application deadline for participation in the ‘Stader Heimatshopper’ is already over.
From now on, all those interested in taking part are invited to send their application by email to plath@stade-marketing.de, stating their name, address, date of birth, telephone contact details and a brief description of why exactly they are Stade’s Hometown Shopper.
Participation is possible if you are 18 years or older. After the application deadline, the three participants will be selected by lot and get notified in time.
