Spectacle of lights at the Stadthafen
The river Schwinge glows in the light of the sailing and motor boats when the skippers of the Stade clubs set off on their traditional lantern cruise at the end of the season in October. The brightly illuminated boats make their way up the Schwinge to enter the Stadthafen in a festive parade as darkness falls. The skippers then do their laps in the harbour basin to the delight of the spectators before heading back towards their home port in the darkness of the night. The light spectacle at the end of the sailing season can be seen particularly well from the dike or from the Stadthafen.

The skippers are expected in the Stadthafen at around 8.00 pm.
The skippers are expected in the Stadthafen at around 7 pm and do their laps in the brightly illuminated boats.
The Klapperina Kitchen Bar and Velero Brasserie & Backwerk will cater to their guests’ culinary needs with a selection of food and drinks “ to go”. Chilli con carne, vegetarian and grilled dishes are served alongside hot and cold drinks.
