North Sea Coast Cycle Route

All along the coast

In Germany, the North Sea Coast Cycle Route runs along the coast of Lower Saxony through the Hanseatic cities of Stade and Hamburg and continues along the North Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein.

The North Sea Coast Cycle Route is the first European long-distance cycle route that runs around the entire North Sea through seven countries – Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Scotland, England and the Netherlands.

The coastal cycle route has a total length of around 6000 kilometres, earning it an entry in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest continuously signposted cycle route.
Along the way, you have the opportunity to visit countless interesting attractions and sights – regardless of which country you are in and which part of the route you are on.
