Anyone travelling to the region around the Hanseatic city of Stade can look forward to plenty of variety. Green river valleys, sandy beaches on the Elbe, moorland and geest landscapes and the picturesque Altes Land region offer numerous recreational activities and unique sights. The Hanseatic cities of Buxtehude and Hamburg as well as Bremen, Bremerhaven and Cuxhaven are not far from the natural expanses.
