The main shopping street in Stade stretches from the Fischmarkt through Hökerstraße, via the Pferdemarkt and Holzstraße almost as far as the railway station. Around two to three times a year, retailers invite shoppers into the city centre for Sunday shopping. On this day off, shoppers can browse and shop to their heart’s content and often also enjoy a few worthwhile special offers. Sunday shopping usually takes place alongside special events in the historic town centre, so there are plenty of entertainment and culinary delights on offer.
