Stade "FACHmarkt"
A special place
A shop with an unusual concept: the Stade FACHmarkt, a cooperation project between STADE Marketing und Tourismus GmbH and the German Red Cross “Schwingewerkstätten” to promote the retail trade in Stade, attracts customers with a varied and changing range of regional products.
A wide range of products can be found in the roughly 50 compartments so far. The compartments are apple crates, which are used as shelves for products and can be leased individually on a monthly basis by interested suppliers and act as a sales area. Essentially, it is a shop full of small shops. This concept favours a diverse range of products and a constant change in the product range. This makes this specialist store interesting for both new and regular customers, as every visit has something new to offer.

The FACHmarkt offers everything from spice blends to handmade soaps, beekeeper’s honey, greeting cards and wood carvings. From fine sewing articles and handmade pasta to maritime dog leads. By next month, things may look completely different again, with a regular change of offers and suppliers.
However, the speciality concept is not only an attractive option for customers, but also for suppliers: It opens up retail space for small businesses, manufactories and hobby crafters in the middle of Stade’s historic town centre, where they can offer and sell their goods. It is not only a great option if you do not yet have a large enough range of products to open your own shop, even if you already have a shop, offering your products in the apple crate gives customers a nice sample of what they can expect in your own store.

As an inclusion project of the German Red Cross Stade Schwingewerkstätten, the Stade FACHmarkt offers people with disabilities a place to work. The specialised staff take care of stocking the apple crates, advise customers and make shopping a charming and entertaining experience at the new Stade FACHmarkt.
