Fresh regional shopping
From fruit and vegetables, cheese, fish, meat and sausage straight from the farm, unusual nuts or dried fruit or flowers… Do you prefer organic, exotic or local produce? You’ll find it all at the Stade weekly market.
Some 30 stalls are set up around the Pferdemarkt every Wednesday and Saturday. The friendly vendors at the weekly market welcome customers early in the morning from 8 am onwards and sell their fresh produce.
And a friendly chat is also available free of charge upon request!

Stade Weekly Market Fair
On Saturday, the 6th of June, from 8 am to 1.30 pm, the weekly market in Stade will be transformed into a colourful hotspot for the whole family. Together with market manager Christine Plath and the weekly market committee, a variety of activities has been organised, including music, hands-on activities and entertainment.
Highlights include the ‘blue light mile’ featuring the police, fire brigade, THW, DLRK and ambulance service. Children can explore the various stations with a stamp book and look forward to a little surprise at the end.
There is also room for creativity: at a painting station, children can design their own bag, which they can then use to discover little surprises at the market stalls. In addition, from 10 am to 1 pm, a clown will entertain visitors with balloons and soap bubbles.
The Stader Hafensänger and the Stade marching band “Die Ehemaligen” e.V. will provide musical entertainment for the fair. There is also a competition to take part in – with a bit of luck, you could win a limited-edition weekly market bag.
New this year is the Stade market bag, available in two versions: as a limited-edition jade-green shopper and as a cotton-jute bag.
Alongside the colourful programme, guests can look forward to what makes the weekly market in Stade so special: fresh produce, friendly chats and genuine weekly market atmosphere right in the heart of the Hanseatic city.
