Elbe bike touring bus
Charge your bike, get on, and relax
The Elbe bike touring bus takes you to the most beautiful attractions, cycle and hiking trails or beaches near the river Elbe in the Altes Land holiday region.
From the end of April to the beginning of September, the bus with attached bike trailer runs on two routes on the weekends and public holidays.
From Stade, you can take Line 1 via Drochtersen, Wischhafen and Freiburg to the museum Natureum Niederelbe at the mouth of the river Elbe. Heading south, the bus takes you through the Altes Land orchards to Horneburg and Harsefeld.
Bus Lines
Line 1: Harsefeld – Horneburg – Jork – Lühe – Grünendeich – Twielenfleth – Hanseatic City of Stade – Drochtersen – Wischhafen – Freiburg (Elbe) – Hörne – Balje (Natureum Niederelbe)
Line 2: Hansestadt Buxtehude – Jork – Königreich – Hamburg-Finkenwerder
At the stop Jork, Markt, you can change between the Elbe bike touring bus lines 1 and 2. There are no additional costs for the change.
Along the route, you can also choose to take various ferries and trains. In Stade, there are connections to the S-Bahn and regional trains to Hamburg and Cuxhaven as well as to the Moorexpress.
