Stade Christmas Market

Holiday cheer in the historic town centre of Stade

Once the historic town centre of Stade has been transformed into a living room for the whole family, the most wonderful time of the year begins: the town centre gets into the Christmas spirit with cosy booths, decorated alleyways and festive lights.

The traditional Stade Christmas market takes place around the large Christmas pyramid at Pferdemarkt. Stalls with tasty treats, mulled wine and arts and crafts await visitors. The stage programme provides a festive atmosphere and musical entertainment.

At the Fischmarkt, a cosy landscape of stalls with delicacies and arts and crafts creates a special atmosphere around the Hansehafen harbour. For a fun and sporty experience, head to the curling rink in front of the Schwedenspeicher Museum, which also offers a children’s programme and cinema on the Sundays in December.

Lovers of the arts and crafts will get their money’s worth at the artisan market in the town hall on the weekends leading up to Christmas.

A small winter market will remain open at the Fischmarkt until Monday, 30 December, to add a little sweetness to the time between the Christmas and New Year’s.
