Across the river Elbe to Stade
The Lühe-Schulau ferry service connects the Hanseatic city of Hamburg with the metropolitan region. This includes the picturesque Altes Land region and the maritime Hanseatic city of Stade. The Lühe-Schulau ferry starts in Wedel and stops at the Lühe jetty, from where it is a short 12-kilometre bike ride to Stade. The Hamburg harbour ferries operated by HADAG also connect Hamburg with the southern side of the Elbe. Line 62 starts at Hamburg Landungsbrücken and stops in Finkenwerder. Teufelsbrück is the starting point for line 64, which also ends in Finkenwerder. Cycle along the Elbe towards Stade on a more extensive bike tour with a beautiful view of the water. From Hamburg Blankenese, cyclists can take the ferry to Cranz and from there, cycle on towards Stade.
