Medieval and Fantasy Fair

A journey back to the time of knights and squires

When the wind rustles through the trees in the Bürgerpark, the scent of wood fires and spiced mead fills the air, and the sounds of old songs echo through the park, then the time has come: Stade has transformed into a gateway to another era. For the first time, the Medieval and Fantasy Fair is opening its gates – a lively spectacle that transports guests into a world full of wonder, adventure and magic.

Here, noble knights meet mysterious magicians, elves stroll through the park alongside squires, and there is something to discover everywhere: jugglers, musicians, fire-eaters and storytellers make you forget everyday life and awaken a longing for ancient legends and fantastical worlds.

Kaspar für Jedermann delights with heartfelt songs and a humorous medieval vibe, while a harmonious folk duo will enchant you with gentle sounds. Those who love energetic, contemporary music can look forward to folk rock from Leonea – a band that combines medieval magic with modern energy and guarantees goosebumps.

Also joining us is Tandaniel the storyteller, a true wordsmith. His tales of dragons, heroes and magic will captivate young and old alike. And what would a festival like this be without a magician? Till Eulenspiegel, the cunning magician, will amaze everyone, not just children, with his tricks and jokes.

Those looking for adventure should not miss the all-day show fights – swords clash, sparks fly and the courage of the opponents is put to the test. Younger guests can enjoy juggling and become part of the magical world themselves.

The highlight of the Medieval and Fantasy Fair will take place at dusk: when the sky slowly turns purple, the fire show begins – a blazing spectacle that will transform the Bürgerpark into a sparkling magical realm. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the magical fire display will amaze and enchant spectators.
