In the midst of the festive pre-Christmas season, the ice rink invites you to enjoy unforgettable moments on the ice. Surrounded by the scenic view of the historic Hansehafen harbour, a winter wonderland of stalls and an ice rink will bring a smile to the faces of young and old alike. Gliding over the shiny ice, while the scent of roasted almonds and piping hot mulled wine fills the air…
The small but charming ice rink provides the perfect setting for a winter outing with family, friends or as a school class. The ‘Hafen-Weihnacht’ Christmas market invites you to enjoy a bite to eat at the cosy stalls after your time on the ice.
The ice rink is provided by STADE Marketing und Tourismus GmbH in cooperation with Stade Aktuell and the Sparkasse Stade-Altes Land.

Good to know
The ice rink is 72 square metres in size.
Skating frames are available for beginner skaters.
The railway is open daily from 24 November to 28 December, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Opening hours:
Monday to Thursday: 11 am to 8 pm (from 10 am with reservation)
Saturday: 11 am to 9 pm
Sunday: noon to 8 pm
A skating session lasts 60 minutes. All times until 6 pm are reserved for children aged 3 to 12. Older teenagers and adults get the chance to take to the ice from 6 pm onwards.
Advance booking is recommended. You can book online or during opening hours at the tourist information office at the harbour or call 04141-776980.
Spontaneous bookings can be made on site during opening hours and paid for in cash.
Up to 15 people are allowed on the ice at the same time.
Skates can be rented on site. Larger groups must let us know in advance the shoe sizes and number of skates they will need.
You are welcome to bring your own skates, provided they are sharpened.
Kindergarten and school groups can use the rink for group excursions in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Bookings can be made in advance by prior arrangement. Registered school groups can also make exclusive bookings from 10 am (Monday to Thursday). Up to 15 children can enjoy the fun on the ice rink at the same time, and skating frames are available for inexperienced skaters. The number of participants and required shoe sizes must be communicated in advance. Reservations for groups can be made by telephone on 04141 – 7769867 or send an email to moellers@stade-marketing.de.
