Guided cycle tour through the green oases of the region
An experienced guide takes you on a 22-kilometre discovery tour on two wheels far off the beaten path, with only a shallow 80 metres of elevation gain. The varied tour allows you to experience scenic highlights such as the Horstsee lake, the green areas of the Ottenbeck forest and pasture landscape, the Schwingetal paddle area along the Schwedenschanze, the island, the ramparts and the Stade harbours.
The route passes through the districts of Kopenkamp, Klein Thun, Ottenbeck and Riensförde and also touches the Barger Heide nature reserve and the Schwarze Berg. The four-hour guided cycle adventure tour “From the historic town centre to Schwingetal valley” is a wonderful combination of city impressions around the historic town centre at the start and end and, on the other hand, many stretches into the green landscape oases in the south and west of Stade around the Schwingetal valley.
