By the Sound of the Sea

Under the motto ‘By the sound of the sea’, guests can take a trip to St Johannis Church in Oederquart and enjoy an evening cruise on the Elbe with the Tidenkieker. Fish rolls are served along the way for refreshment. The Vogelkieker bus takes you from Stade through the Kehdingen countryside. During the trip, visitors learn about the unique characteristics and attractions of the region. On the beautiful sandy beaches of Krautsand, guests can enjoy a coffee break at the Elbe beach resort, while large ships and small sailing boats pass by in the nearby waterway. On the return trip to Stade, the charm of the Elbe river and the riverbanks in the evening light awaits guests. For this purpose, they are welcomed on board the barge Tidenkieker. During the trip on the river Elbe, participants can learn about the flora and fauna along the banks, navigation on the river and the navigation signs.
