Guided tour and organ matinée
Find out more about the history and stories of the town centre churches and their organs. How many organ builders were there in Stade and where were their worshops? Where did Stade’s most famous organist Vincent Lübeck live?
The event begins with a short guided tour of the town. The highlight is a tour of the organ (with a demonstration) in the church of St Cosmae or St Wilhadi.
As in the church of St Cosmae, the organ in the church of St Wilhadi is a culturally and historically significant treasure. It was built between 1731 and 1736 by the master organ builder Erasmus Bielfeldt.
Group offers
Organ tours (each with an organ demonstration) are offered in one of the two town centre churches. In both cases, a separate city tour can be booked on request.
